At 1100hrs, shortly after returning to station from a fire alarm in Marysville, Company 2 was dispatched as RIT to the 300blk of W Juniata Parkway in Millerstown for a house fire. The Truck responded on dispatch with 4 personnel. While enroute, Chief 9 arrived on scene with a fully involved house, and requested the second alarm. An additional RIT was added due to needing manpower from Truck 2 to assist with fire attack. On Truck 2's arrival, there were 3 handlines in place. 2 personnel went to the porch roof with a line, and was extinguishing the 2nd floor. Water was lost and conditions worsened. After water was gained, crews tried to make a push into the first floor but the floor was compromised. Command requested the EVAC and went to defensive operations. Truck 2 repositioned, and set up for aerial operations. Crews operated for about 3 hours before going available.
