| On Tuesday, February 24 around 1400hrs, DFC placed into service our New 2026 Chevy Tahoe - Duty Officer Vehicle. For those that are not aware, the Duty Officer Vehicle is operated by the Duty Chief that is in charge. The Duty Chief responds directly to the scene at time of dispatch, to arrive early and establish command. When establishing command, it includes various functions such as but not limited to conducting scene size-up, directing incoming apparatus/personnel, requesting additional resources, and communicating with dispatch. The vehicle is upfitted with emergency lighting, radios, air pack, hand tool, turnout gear, and a command board.
The purchase of the new Tahoe was made possible with assistance of a $50,000 grant from Senator Greg Rothman's Office through PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED)
