Saturday Incidents / Hose Testing

DFC had a steady Saturday to finish off the month of February. Just after 0500hrs, Tower 2 responded to Harrisburg City Station 1 on a transfer while City Units were operating a 1st Alarm House Fire. The Tower returned after about 1 1/2hrs. Around 1254hrs, while leaving the station for hose testing, Company 2 was dispatched mutual aid to assist Co9 (New Buffalo)in the 200blk of Notch Rd with a brush fire extending into pole building. Squad, Engine, Tanker, Truck, and Chief 2 responded on dispatch, and arrived staging on the hard road before being released by command. After arriving at the Elementary School and dropping 5" hose for testing, Truck 2 responded as RIT to the 200blk of S Market St in Liverpool Borough for a house fire with possible entrapment. Truck 2 was placed in service while responding. Crews then finished testing 5" hose from the Squad, Engine, and Tanker and cleaned up. Just after 1800hrs, Co2 and mutual aid were dispatched the the 1st block of Inn Rd in Penn Twp for a possible electrical problem inside a residence. The box was quickly reduced to Co2 and placed available shortly after and marked as good intent with nothing found. DFC finished the evening with its 5th call of the day coming in around 2030hrs for an auto accident at the intersection of RT22/322 and RT849. Crews found single vehicle into a light pole and no injuries. The scene was turned over to PSP on their arrival. Company 2 finished the month of February with 46 calls for service.
