7-10 Box - Automotive Garage Fire

On Thursday morning at 0221hrs, Tower 2 was dispatched to the 600blk of Mountain Rd in Millerstown for a reported automotive garage on fire. Newport Fire Company arrived finding a fully involved garage about 60' x 40' in size with exposures and placed multiple handlines into service. The Tower with 5 personnel arrived and backed up the lane to set up for aerial operations. Handline operations were shut down temporarily to move Engine 10 so the Tower could get better positioning to knock and penetrate the fire. Crews operated for about 2 hours before going available.
