2-09 Box - House Fire

On Sunday at 1323hrs, Co2 and mutual aid were dispatched to the 1st block of Schoolhouse Rd for a house fire. Chief 2 arrived on scene with fire out the rear of the structure and requested the 2nd Alarm (working fire). Truck 2 arrived taking Side A and going to the roof for ventilation. Saturday Incidents / Hose Testing

DFC had a steady Saturday to finish off the month of February. Just after 0500hrs, Tower 2 responded to Harrisburg City Station 1 on a transfer while City Units were operating a 1st Alarm House Fire. Just before 0730hrs, Company 2 and Engine 6 (Marysville Fire Company) responded to the 1st Block of Schoolhouse Rd in Penn Township for an auto accident with confinement. While responding, County advised units of a single vehicle vs tree with 1 person confined in the vehicle. Chief 2, Squad 2, and Engine 6 arrived with a single occupant trapped in the vehicle. On Tuesday, February 24 around 1400hrs, DFC placed into service our New 2026 Chevy Tahoe - Duty Officer Vehicle. For those that are not aware, the Duty Officer Vehicle is operated by the Duty Chief that is in charge. At 1100hrs, shortly after returning to station from a fire alarm in Marysville, Company 2 was dispatched as RIT to the 300blk of W Juniata Parkway in Millerstown for a house fire. The Truck responded on dispatch with 4 personnel. While enroute, Chief 9 arrived on scene with a fully involved house, and requested the second alarm. Around 1200hrs, shortly after returning to station from an auto accident, Truck 2 responded as RIT to the 400blk of Winding Hill Rd in Newport. The Truck arrived on scene and assisted with fire attack, ventilation, and overhaul. Crews operated for about 3hrs before going available.
