Duncannon Fire Company has received a $15,000 grant from Norfolk Southern’s Safety First Grant Program!
This funding will help us outfit three firefighters with Morning Pride Turnout Gear and replace helmet liners.

Saturday afternoon just prior to 1100hrs, crews were dispatched to the 2-06 box in the 1st Block of Towpath Rd for a house fire. Crews arrived on scene with a working fire and operated for just under 2hrs before clearing the call. We would like to thank Northeast Fire & Rescue & Halifax Fire Department for transferring and covering the first due while units were committed on scene.

Just prior to 1600hrs, Company 2 along with Engine 9, Ambulance 89-1, Ambulance 129-1, and Medic 81, were dispatched to the intersection of New Bloomfield Rd / S Main St for and Auto Accident involving a School Bus. Just before 1400hrs, RIT 2 was dispatched to the 400blk of Mitchell Rd in Newport for a Mobile Home Fire. The Truck w/4 responded. Chief 10 arrived with smoke showing. The Truck arrived sending its manpower forwards, and split crew to go to the roof for ventilation, as well as to assist with fire attack and overhaul. The Truck crew operated for about an hour before going available.

Chief 2 arrived on scene with smoke showing. The Squad arrived stretching 1 attack line into the building, and the truck set up for ventilation.
